Freshline nursery had unusual beginnings...
Restaurant customers have always admired and commented on the flowers that they saw when visiting the restaurant. Some customers even started asking if they could buy the plants. So we started a small nursery on the premises where we propogate most of our own plants, and produce and design different hanging baskets and hardwood pots according to customer wishes. Over the years, we have extended this, and now market and sell an array of small seedlings, shrubs, hanging baskets, planters and more, for all seasons...
Well, things in the nursery really started when a local horticulturist called Tom (we call him Grumpy) took a fancy to the restaurant and said we needed some colour and some plants to improve the decor and ambiance. He graciously transformed the entire restaurant and today we have a business that not only produces tasty seafood, but alongside this boasts a setting with beautiful flowers, hanging baskets, and an array of plants that literally transforms the ambiance. We love him and will be forever grateful!
Over the years Tom taught us everything we know, and we have continued to build on what he introduced. He still visits us weekly to advise and be grumpy about what we are not doing properly – but that's how we learn, and he is a wonderful teacher...
